At Alchemilla, we are seeking a reliable and technically strong Support Engineer to assist customers and internal teams with infrastructure, networking, and system administration issues. In this role, you will troubleshoot real-world problems across firewalls, routers, servers, operating systems, and application environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for systems involving firewalls, routers, VPNs, Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, Windows, and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot networking issues including routing, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall policies.
- Assist with server administration, service configuration, log analysis, and incident resolution.
- Write and maintain scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or similar tools to automate support and operational tasks.
- Work with engineering teams to reproduce bugs, collect diagnostics, and escalate issues clearly.
- Prepare documentation, troubleshooting guides, and internal support notes.
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members during issue investigation and resolution.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, and Windows environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot using tools such as ping, traceroute, tcpdump, netstat, ssh, logs, and system utilities.
- Experience with Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with system services, package managers, permissions, storage, and basic security practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and methodical while handling technical issues.
- Experience with virtualization, containers, or cloud platforms is a plus.
